Information used for checkout
Checkout collects email, delivery and billing details, optional phone details, cart contents and a research-use declaration. These are sent to the commerce backend to calculate delivery and tax and, when ordering is enabled, process the order. Order and shipment emails use the configured email service.
Browser storage & payment information
The storefront uses browser session storage for the age confirmation and cookies to connect a browser to its cart and order receipt. Where Stripe card payments are enabled, card details are entered through Stripe's payment components; the storefront does not collect a raw card number in its own checkout fields.
Store performance
We count successful basket additions, saved checkout details, payment preparation and completed orders in first-party operational logs to identify checkout problems. These event records contain only the step name and whether checkout is in test or live mode; they do not contain your name, email, address, product selection, payment details or tracking identifiers.
